Harvey Kosigah DE HARDT-KAFFILS
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

Harvey is the founder of IMPACT Communication. He is a journalist by profession with more than 14 years of experience in Communication in the health sector and project management and during which he coordinated the overall communication strategy of regional HIV projects in West Africa. He has worked extensively in the West African region in the field of communication. Harvey also has more than 20 years experience of translation and he has gained extensive knowledge in the successful management of language services. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Impact Communication. He also doubles up as the Contracts & Compliance Director as well as the Marketing Director.

As the Chairman of the organization, Harvey provides guidance, technical oversight and supervision to company program and activities. His responsibilities as the Contracts & Compliance Director is to research and develop bids for individual and corporate clients. 

As the Marketing Director, Harvey is responsible for the marketing and communications strategies, as well as overall branding and image of IMPACT Communication.

He acts as the company's interface with some of the major corporate clients.

Prior to his ownership of IMPACT Communication, Harvey established with his former lecturer a Translation Company called ‘Excelingua’, while at the same time working as a print journalist in Ghana. He later worked as a Marketing and Communication Specialist at the defunct West Africa Sub-regional HIV/AIDS project, AWARE-HIV/AIDS which was a USAID/WA-funded project headquartered in Accra, Ghana. Harvey later moved to join the Abidjan-Lagos Corridor Organization, a Joint Regional STI/HIV/AIDS Prevention Project along the Abidjan-Lagos Transport Corridor, headquartered in Cotonou, Benin, as the Information-Education-Communication/Behavior Change Communication (IEC/BCC) Specialist. The project was established by the World Bank, UNAIDS and the five (5) Heads of State of Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, Benin and Nigeria. Harvey spent eight (8) years there and in 2015 joined PACTE-VIH, a Regional HIV/AIDS Prevention & Care Project in West Africa Region funded by USAID and implemented by FHI360, as the Behavior Change Communication (BCC) & Advocacy Officer. In that capacity, Harvey was in charge of all the BCC and Advocacy aspects of the whole project which comprises 2 countries in West Africa (Togo and Burkina Faso) as well as the communication for the project. After one year, Harvey joined the West African Health Organization (WAHO) as the Communications, Advocacy and Knowledge Management Specialist where he was responsible for creating visibility and strengthening the communication for the World Bank projects in particular and the WAHO in general.

Harvey resigned his position after 4 years and 6 months to lead the activities of IMPACT Communication.

Harvey had been a French language lecturer at the Africa Institute of Journalism and Communication in Accra, Ghana.

Harvey is a member of the Ghana Journalists' Association.
